AHA's Bloodborne Pathogens certification class consists of a student workbook, video-based lessons, and review questions. Each lesson is designed to be completed in less than an hour. The workbook has a simple design and includes a participation card which can be used as proof of completion. The test for the Bloodborne Pathogens Course consists of 10 short, true or false questions. The student must be able to answer seven questions correctly in order to pass the test and receive a completion certificate. The certificate is valid for 1 year. It can be verified using the free e-Verify tool, which allows you to enter the number of your certification ID to determine if it's still valid. SCTPP The Safety Certification for Transportation Project Professionals is an exam which shows the core competencies of a professional required to identify, minimize the risk of the most common risks in transportation projects and to avoid incidents that may cause death or injury. It is offered at Pearson VUE test centers throughout the U.S. The ARTBA Transportation Development Foundation engaged an internationally-recognized consulting firm specializing in helping industries and government agencies develop effective, fair, valid, reliable and legally defensible assessment and evaluation services to work with industry safety leaders on this program. SCTPP was created by top industry leaders and safety advocates via the ARTBA Foundation to significantly reduce—and ideally eliminate the nearly 50,000 fatalities of workers and injuries that happen annually in and around U.S. transportation infrastructure construction projects. It was designed for construction supervisors, workers and foremen as well planners, designers, operators of equipment, manufacturers, suppliers, and owners. The SCTPP exam is a 2.5 hour test that contains 120 multiple-choice questions on assessing, creating and implementing professional safety plans for projects, identifying and mitigating risks, directing project personnel, preparing an incident investigation plan, conducting an accident/incident report and conducting training sessions for field personnel. SCTPP certification is valid for three years. Recertification is based on documented, continuous education on the subject and retesting. To be eligible for the SCTPP program applicants must have a bachelor's in construction or engineering and have two years of experiencein construction projects involving transportation. This experience can be gained through working as a worker, operator or supervisor, or foreperson. It is also possible to gain this experience through internships. Candidates must also pass an OSHA 30 or 510 training. SCTPP will pay for the weighted average tuition at a participating school or the actual tuition billed or less. However, SCTPP does not cover the cost of dormitories, books, course specific fees meals plans orientation, laundry, uniform fees, parking or add or drop fees.
